Burundi, Benin (2009 *NEW*
"Every first Sunday of October each year over 200 churches and ministries, over 250.000 people around the planet join together in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. The city of the Great King.
We as Grace ministry joined this worldwide convocation and stand on the side of the people of God ( Israel) and lift this nation before the throne of Grace according to the scriptures in psalm 122:6 “ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper who love you”
If you see closely this verse it begins with a command ‘Pray” which means that God commended us to pray for His city and then there is a promise “may the prosper who love you” I know even you that everybody around the world ask God overtime for the prosperities either physical and spiritual even materials. So God says “pray” for Jerusalem and you will get what you ask for. In Louis Second French translation it says “to enjoy the rest” you see!! We all need to enjoy and be happy in our lives so the Lord says Pray for the peace of Jerusalem…
In psalm 124:1-4; “…. Had it not been the Lord who was our side, when men rose up against us; then they would have swallowed us alive, when their anger was kindled against us….”
Israel has experienced many deportations during the kings in the Old Testament and recently when Adolph Hitler killed over six million of Jews but if it was not God to protect them they no longer exist one nation today called Israel on geographic map… so that we as Christians we must stand on the side of Israel to pray for it peace because it will be in Jerusalem where our King of kings and Lord of lords will reign for one thousand years.
In our church every first Sunday of October we invite as many churches and ministries as possible to pray together for the peace of Jerusalem as you can see on pictures.
This is the part of the message that Pastor Philippe SELEMANI taught on that day….
“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness, goes forth like brightness and her salvation like a torch that burning. And the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory, and you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will designate.”
“On your walls. O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will never keep silent. You, who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem praise in the earth.” Isaiah 62:1-2, 6-7." -- Burundi Africa Regional

"Our DPPJ event at Gospel Prayer Centre - Mizpah, had over 80 intercessors praying for Israel. We started the event at 11:00 a.m. and explaining the reasons why we as Christians need to stand with Israel at this particular time. I shared three of the reasons by Jack Hayford and then led the intercessors in praying for the peace of Jerusalem as mandated by Psalm 122:6. This year, I was able to partner with another pastor from our city. It was a great experience having him lead the prayers while blowing a shofar and prophesying over Israel.
From The University of Nairobi, we recruited 8 students and shared with them materials about the DDPJ initiative. These students committed to pray today for Israel and also to continue praying for Israel. Overall, the event was a great success and I am grateful to God for having taken part in it." - Regional Coordinator

"In our country many people were so excited about the DPPJ – many prayed in advance, many smaller groups of women and men from all the peoples in Namibia contacted and said they prayed – it really stirred my heart. I believe that approximately 15, 000 believers in our Nation prayed with the rest of the world.
The Lord gave us the Scriptures in Ezek 36 and 37,and Isa 62." - Regional Coordinator
"Approximately 30 Churches from
all over Namibia agreed to pray - we have about 40 towns in Namibia. We praise God for every person that was praying. We know that there were many that prayed - we received many cell phone calls - many that were outside the Church buildings, praying in their cars on the road, in rural areas, in houses, at old age homes, etc. We believe there could have been 10,000 believers praying in our country. Our population is approximately 2.2 million. Some Church leaders committed, but didn't want to send footage, which we respect. The overall attitude and response was positive - but many still need to acknowledge our Jewish roots. We are glad that we could partake of such a great event - calling up believers to pray for a mutual matter which really concerns us all as the body of Christ on earth." -- Regional Coordinator

"We received many teaching about the future glory of Israel the city of worship the Lord for the nation. Doctor Benjamin the principal of a Bible school was the main speaker. He explained all week how Jerusalem was established by king David. The example of those who worship the Lord, he established Jerusalem as a reference of the nations. He preached the verse of Psalm 137 to help us discover how Jerusalem was in the heart of Jews even if they were in captivity.
He took us in Romans 11 where Paul is talking about the restoration of Jerusalem and Israel. It is for our benefit to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the blessing of Israel. If we do so, it will come back to us.
The second teacher was Dr. Rame, Gasaro specialist in the Middle East. He asked a question, can we pray only for the peace of Jerusalem as a nation or do we have to pray to for other Israelites who are living in different nations? He explained how these people are in different nations. He told us how America is blessed. The reason is that in this nation there are so many Israelites living among them. Another reason this country prospers is because they use their effort to fight for the peace of Jerusalem. Dr. Gasaro encouraged the church to study the Hebrew language, to have special songs in Hebrew, and love to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. "We bless you Jerusalem, let your people live in peace!" - Regional Coordinator
